8 Months

My sweet sweet little boy is 8 months! He crawls, pulls himself up, chews on everything, has 5 teeth and more on the way (I'm so over teeth lol!) Loves real food and begs from mom and dad when they eat, likes Cheerios and Puffs. Has only slept through the night 3 times. (We really miss that!) Is getting some hair (I took some close ups for proof :)) Jase has THE greatest laugh and is SO much fun! My goodness we sure love him and can't imagine life without him!

6 Months!

Jase is 6 months old! I cant believe we have both survived this long! He is such a sweet little blessing in our lives and we just love him so stinking much!

Jase loves food and will eat anything and refuses nothing. He is obnoxiously curious about everything. Has learned to yell...and seems to use that to get attention now instead of crying. Ha ha. Loves to be outside...(just not in direct sunlight). Still has the most hilarious hunger cry. Loves to snuggle Aunt Jess most and is no where near close to sleeping through the night and seems to end up in mom and dads bed more often than he should but we sure love him! Can sit up like a big boy, loves to walk around with help and is getting close to being able to crawl...I think. He can get up on all 4's but that's about it.  Happy 6 months baby!

We are moving back to Cedar City next week and I think Jase is going to miss all the attention that he gets at Grandma and Grandpas house and I'm to going to miss the help and the company but I'm kinda looking forward to it as well.

Love

Being a mom has taught me a lot about love.  Not just about my capability to love as a mother but about the love our Heavenly Father has for us.
The other night Jase cried and cried.....and cried, for 45 minutes he cried and after trying every possible thing I could think of to try and console him with no success, I cried too.  I felt like a failure as a mom, why couldn't I fix whatever was wrong? Why couldn't I even figure out what was wrong? I thought to myself if I could just take away whatever pain or thing was bothering him I would do it in a heart beat! I have never wished anyone elses pain on myself but as a mom I find myself wishing it all the time! Especially when Jase was first born and seemed to be in constant pain I wanted nothing more than to take it from him.  It just broke my heart to watch him helplessly, knowing this was something his body would have to learn to deal with and eventually grow out of by himself.

I imagine our Heavenly parents feel much the same way watching their children here grow and experience pain in this life. I have always known that our Heavenly Parents loved us but I don't think I ever really understood how much until I had a child of my own! Its hard to imagine being loved so much more than the love I have for Jase... sometimes I feel like the Grinch, lol. In a single moment my heart grows 3 times the size it previously was...and it happens multiple times daily!  It's a good feeling to love so much, I am grateful for it! Anyway, that's just a thought that's been on my mind lately!

Being a Momma!

Well its been three weeks and life is good!
Being a mom is hard... but I absolutely love it!
The first few days I thought, "Man I have this down, it just isn't as hard as I thought it would be." And then sleep deprivation caught up all way too fast and then the emotions...those annoying emotions. I would cry for absolutely no reason at all... (Why didn't anyone mention this?) I mean I don't mind crying if I just knew why I was doing it and its not like just shedding a few tears I'm talking full on bawling uncontrollably and it would just start up without warning. This is what I disliked most. Thank goodness I have a sweet husband who will hold me until I'm done and family who told me it's normal to cry. I seriously thought something was wrong with me and just knowing that it was common and normal made me feel so much better.
Most days I don't get dressed, I don't usually get around to brushing my teeth till 11:00 or after, some days I stink, Im covered it spit up, milk and sometimes probably a little poo... for all I know, taking a shower is like a mini vacation, breakfast...whats breakfast? In fact most days its more like food...whats food lol!
But despite all the things you sacrifice it doesn't even compare to the happiness and joy of having this sweet little baby boy in our lives! I love him so much more than I could have ever imagined!
Having a baby is certainly an adjustment (Thanks to Audrey and her little book about getting baby on a schedule, things are already looking better. Thank you Thank you!) but I am learning how to get things done with a baby! (Its only taken a month.)

Jase has had a lot of visitors since his arrival! I have sooo many pictures but here are a few for your viewing pleasure!

I don't know what I would have done if my sweet mom didn't come help us! We sure loved having her here and we sure miss her!

Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dan! They bought us a sweet rocking recliner! Jase and I enjoy it on a regular basis! :) Thank You!
