Join in on the June Challenges

Last year Tailor challenged us all to do a "No Junk Food June" and although it was quite challenging for me to stay away from those things that are most tasty and tantalizing and that call my name whenever we are in the same room, (seriously chocolate speaks to me;)) it feels good to exercise some self-control and you really do feel better about yourself!!!

We are challenging you all to join in again! But this year we've decided to add another challenge...to deactivate your Facebook account! I know, I know, no more stalking, poking, chatting, posting funny pictures from pinterest....no more wasting aimless hours doing I don't even know! Its going to be rough! Lol. Some of you probably think this is a dumb challenge...maybe some of you think you can't do it...just try, trust me, YOU CAN DO IT! Its just a month and hey you can always reactivate it again at the end of the month or maybe you'll decide you don't want to.

You can join in on one or both! Keep us updated on how things go for you. We will try to keep things updated on our end. Remember we won't be able to post to fb so make sure to copy down our blog addresses!

You can do anything you put your mind to!

Road Construction/Eagle Canyon

On our way to St.George you wouldn't believe how much road construction we ran in to, so if you are planning on going anywhere this weekend I highly recommend leaving early! I strongly dislike "road construction season." Oh and I hope you like riding over rumble strips!

We love to see these signs!

Every time I drive over this bridge I tell myself on the way back I will stop and take pictures because I think its an awesome bridge...that's probably kind of strange but what can I say, I'm strange. Today I finally stopped! It really is a huge bridge! The canyon is huge and a loooong way down! There is actually a dirt road down there....anyone know how to get to it?

Eclipse

...Yes, we watched the eclipse too...with welding helmets ...and did all the usual things that everyone else did!

LEVI

"A cousin is a ready-made friend for life."

This is my cousin Levi and he graduated this week! I can't believe it, people just keep growing up!

Jessica and I decided that we would make the trip to St. George because, well, we just LOVE this family! They're pretty much our second family and well I know we shouldn't have favorites but Levi is definitely one of my favorite cousins! We have some fantastic memories together!

This kid is aMaZiNg, Incredibly TaLeNtEd, KinD, fUnNy and GoOd! And he will go far in life!

Love ya Levy Elvira...... ;)

Oh...just Levi being Levi :)

Love this picture!

"Yes we may look strange, but no matter what we’re still cousins"

Mothers Day!

I have a lot of catching up to do. I'll start with Mothers Day!

First a little story....When I was in 6th grade, when it's necessary for your parents to tell you, "no" sometimes, I remember my mom not letting me do something I really wanted to do, I was so mad at her, why couldn't I? What was the big deal? I think she told me she just didn't think it was a good idea and I remember thinking, "when i grow up I'm not going to be anything like my mom, when I have kids of my own I'm never going to tell them no, why shouldn't they be able to do whatever they want?" How silly of me!
Now that I am older I realize that she knew what she was doing and she did it because she loves me!
Someday I hope to be as good a mother as my mom is to me! They don't come any better =)

This is what Mothers Day looks like at our house... when we have a missionary out!  We all gather together in mom and dads room, turn the phone on speaker and pass the phone around until everyone has had a turn to talk to Clint! Its pretty fun and Clint is doing really well in case you were wondering!

Every month we have a family dinner at our house and this month it landed on Mothers Day! Wahoo!

Robert and Celeste!

Bob and Suzie were down from St. George! We love having them!

The little girls!
