BangZ Day...

Ive been thinking about getting bangs for a while now and I guess  I decided that today was that day. 

I cut them myself and I was a little nervous.

My mom told me she thought they looked good but that I looked like a 12 year old...I guess thats ok, people are always trying to look younger right? :/

Both of my sisters and my dad liked them.

Ashlyn and Sabrina liked them.

I....dont really know how i feel about them...I don't hate them but I'm not really fond of them either. Oh well hair grows back! 

What do you think? Do i look 12? Ha ha.

 Jessica, Kenni and I went out to (guess where) today and experimented with my camera! Jessica figured out how to appropriately set the settings so we could get this look and I played with angles. Its exciting!

We also ran into this little guy....Jessica was too busy taking photos of the sunset to get a cool pic of him all curled up...Lame! Ha ha.

Delicate

Saturday night a group of us hiked up to Delicate Arch...im so mad at myself for not getting a whole group picture but Daniel, Garrett, Skylar and his family also came. I took these photos after they had already left :/ 

There were quite a few mice up there, eww. 

No moon ha ha.

And windy.

But we had a good time anyway!

Hidden Valley

I couldn't wait any longer! For some odd reason I've been dying to hike Hidden Valley! Today was that day. I invited my cousin Becca to come with me and I'm glad she did because it would have been so boring without her. We had some really awesome conversations about the Gospel and such...she is amazing!

The hike was 4 miles round trip. Well there isn't a sign that designates the end of the trail so we just kept on walking until we just happened to run into the Moab Rim trail...we walked a little further and then sat down and had some snacks and then decided that we would just go back. I really wanted to see the Indian ruins that are up there somewhere....I know they are there because I have seen them before.  I'm not crazy!

Originally I wanted to hike all the way to where the old tram use to be but i didn't bother to look at the map before we left...and thank goodness we didn't attempt to go that far. When we got back to the bottom and looked at the map it was probably 3 or 4 more miles and we would have run out of water.  

We left at 9 am and got back around 1...i think. It was hot but i didn't mind that so much. Once we got to the top there was a nice constant breeze! I would recommend going a little earlier though. 

I can't wait to go on some more hikes and maybe I can convince Becca to come with me!

Granola Success

I'm so excited! First time making granola bars and they turned out good! Didn't even burn them!

So with "no junk food June" i crave sweet things but getting a snickers out of the vending machine is a "no no" so I've been buying granola bars...now I don't have to. I can make my own! YES! 

I think this will make a good institute treat! So for you 3 people who actually read my blog and if you so happen to attend institute this is what you have to look forward to next Wednesday!

CareBear? Extra Large!

Oh this bear....this bear is my Aunt Becky's...and to be honest i have no idea why or where she got it. Its been in my Grandma's upstairs since i can remember and when we were little we use to LOVE this bear and we would "ride" it down her stairs. Which when i think of it now I'm not sure how the bear even "slid" down those stairs, they are quite narrow and this bear is huge!

Anyway...my grandma has been wanting to get rid of it! Well Becky came down a few weeks ago and a few weeks before that my Aunt Suzie came down and came up with this idea that we should just strap it to Beckys car in the middle of the night. But first we were going to take funny pictures with it...stage a picnic, run him over...things like that. 

So Jessica went and got the bear before Becky came and kept him at our house. Well we didn't actually know when Becky was leaving and she left before we got the chance to ditch the darn bear....and so he sat in our yard...sunbathing...until my Aunt Celeste (lots of Aunts in this story :)) said she wanted to borrow it to pick Becca up and embarrass her. Jessica and I moved the bear in to Celestes car...it was a struggle trying to get him in there and we couldn't stop laughing. We decided that we would drive him around town and see what kind of reactions we would get. To be honest i think we were a little disappointed. I even sat in the back and moved his arm up and down so it looked like he was waving at people. Some people just don't know funny when they see it. We did get a few people to laugh, and a few had to do a double take but most people either didn't notice the over-sized, hand waving green care bear or they pretended like they didn't! 

At least we entertained ourselves! We had fun and this bear now resides at a thrift store or maybe it has already found its way into some care bare loving home ;)

Skinny Jeans...at last!

Well I did it! I finally bought a pair of skinny jeans! To be honest i really thought i was going to put them on and hate them...and to my surprise i put them on and I LOVED THEM! I can't wait to buy some more! 

I also realize these pictures are completely ridiculous...Kenzie took them for me and i felt weird just standing there...but obviously that probably would have been better than acting like a goober. Oh well! :)

HELLO JUNE!

Well hello there June! Can I just say that I am especially glad to see you!

Id like to say that I took advantage of the last few weeks I had with junk food but the truth is I abused it and my skin, sadly, is proof of it :/ 

But that didn't stop Ashlyn and I from having one last "Who-Ra" with some delicious fried ice-cream at the Fiesta!

Last year i wore a piece of twine or something like that around my wrist to remind me that i wasn't suppose to eat candy and such but it didn't do a very good job and so i decided that every time i broke the rule i would add one...well they kinda built up...not very attractive. 

This year we decided to just make one... or i guess we made 2 or 3...but anyway they are bright and colorful and hopefully will do a better job at reminding us that junk is out for June!

I know, you're trying not to be jealous ;)
