I couldn't wait any longer! For some odd reason I've been dying to hike Hidden Valley! Today was that day. I invited my cousin Becca to come with me and I'm glad she did because it would have been so boring without her. We had some really awesome conversations about the Gospel and such...she is amazing!
The hike was 4 miles round trip. Well there isn't a sign that designates the end of the trail so we just kept on walking until we just happened to run into the Moab Rim trail...we walked a little further and then sat down and had some snacks and then decided that we would just go back. I really wanted to see the Indian ruins that are up there somewhere....I know they are there because I have seen them before. I'm not crazy!
Originally I wanted to hike all the way to where the old tram use to be but i didn't bother to look at the map before we left...and thank goodness we didn't attempt to go that far. When we got back to the bottom and looked at the map it was probably 3 or 4 more miles and we would have run out of water.
We left at 9 am and got back around 1...i think. It was hot but i didn't mind that so much. Once we got to the top there was a nice constant breeze! I would recommend going a little earlier though.
I can't wait to go on some more hikes and maybe I can convince Becca to come with me!

So much fun! I love your yellow shirt :) I know where the Indian Ruins are, so we'll have to go sometime...if I can ever stop working ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks I like it too! Yes we should go...but from the other side. I think its closer to the indian ruins and i would just like to go from that side since I haven't been over that way since i was probably a beehive haha!
