How We Told Our Families

I kept our secret for about a day (Which was pretty hard for me ha) before I had to tell someone, so I told Jessica, I knew I could trust her plus I knew I would need her help to come up with some creative way to tell everyone else. :) SO...we made these cute little signs for our parents that said, "The best parents get promoted to grandparents," and shirts for our sisters that said, "The best sisters get promoted to Aunt!"  We left the frames sitting out with a card on them for our parents to discover and I left the shirts in little bags for our sisters. 

My favorite reactions/stories came from our Dads and my little sister. 

I left the bag outside of Kenzies room and when she opened it she came to Dallen and I and said, "Is this really from you guys or is it from Clint and Athena?" I told her it was really from us and then she got all excited! 

My dad gave us hugs and cried which I thought was sweet. 

Dallens dad was probably the funniest. He was the only one home at the time and we had left the frame and card on the display case. We went over to Dallens house to wait for Danny to get home from church so we could watch his reaction... He came home, saw the frame and picked up the card, but didn't open it and put it back.  Dallen and I just looked at each other...we were confused as to why he didn't open the card. So we all just sat there and watched TV for a bit and then I told Dallen to say something. So he asked Danny what it was. Danny said he didn't know it was for Sue. (The card had both their names on it. LOL)  Dallen told him it had his name on it too...he still didn't really seem to care so Dallen said, "well what is it?" Danny said, "I don't know, its from you guys." Dallen- "Why do you say that?" Danny- "Cuz you want me to open it." Then we just kinda laughed and Danny said "Well Bring it to me and I'll open it." And that was that, maybe you would have had to have been there but it was just so hard to convince him that he should open it and it was super funny!
