Decorating our Tree!

Decorating our tree has turned out to be quite the experience but I guess we would have to learn sooner or later. 

The first thing I did wrong which I couldn't really help was I got a stand that was too big or I guess we got a tree that was too small ha ha. It was the only size Walmart had. So we went to Home Depot and got longer screws and even then Dallen had a time trying to get the tree to even stay up. While we were at Home Depot we came across a better deal for lights than I had previously found at Walmart so we got one roll, took it home and realized it wasn't enough lights to finish the tree, so the next day I returned the lights I had previously bought at Walmart and went over to Home Depot and got another roll of lights which we discovered that night was still not enough so we took yet another trip to Home Depot and got our last roll of lights and Dallen finally finished putting the lights on! (I was so happy Dallen was willing to put the lights on and didn't even complain, in my house it was a dreaded thing.) Then we decorated it!!! 

We are happy with our little tree and I think it looks pretty even if it is decorated with cheesy plastic bulbs and snowflakes! 

Moral of the story…Take your husband when you buy a tree stand and trees take a lot more lights than you think!
